“Gaze and Graze” – Pescasseroli, Italia Vonnie and I are spending this time between the old and new year in the mountain village of Pescasseroli. Yesterday we grabbed our walking sticks and headed up to where we could enjoy a panoramic view. Joining us for the view at the top were a couple of cows who took very little notice of us being present. What was a little comical to watch was that they would graze a bit, then look up for awhile as if to totally soak in the surroundings, and then repeat. I accepted this observation as a life lesson… being: If this lowly part of God’s creation can stop and appreciate it’s surroundings, then maybe too, so should I. Maybe every day won’t be a mountain top experience, but wherever I am maybe I need to take the time to just stop for a bit and Gaze as I Graze. So, a New year’s resolution?…nahhh, don’t ever keep those… maybe just something to keep in mind, and file in “Things I really ought to do.” ☺️ From noi a voi, or usins to youins, all the best for a great end, and a brand new start in ’19.
